These Terms of Use apply to your use of Ponto de Arte (pontodearte.com, “the site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What the site provides

The site publishes free guides and tutorials about origami and paper folding for general information and personal enjoyment. We work to keep the instructions clear and accurate, but we do not guarantee that every guide is free of errors or that you will get a particular result by following it.

Safety

Paper crafts are low-risk, but some projects on the site mention scissors, craft knives, pins, glue, wire or string. Use tools with care and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Children should be supervised by an adult, particularly for any step involving cutting tools, small parts or pins. Paper models are not toys for young children, are not food-safe unless a guide says otherwise, and should be kept away from candles and other heat sources. You are responsible for deciding whether a project is suitable for you or for a child in your care.

Using our content

Unless stated otherwise, the text, illustrations and design of the site belong to Ponto de Arte. You are welcome to:

  • read, print and use the guides for personal, classroom, library or other non-commercial purposes;
  • share a link to any page;
  • quote short passages with a clear credit and a link back to the original page.

Please do not republish whole articles or illustrations, sell them, or present them as your own work without written permission.

Many origami models described on the site are traditional designs with no known author, and anyone is free to fold them. Our rights relate to our own written instructions and illustrations, not to the traditional models themselves.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. This includes attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with how the site works, sending spam or unlawful content through the contact form, or copying the site in bulk by automated means beyond what is needed for normal search engine indexing.

The site links to third-party websites that we think are useful, such as museums and origami organizations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
